Kid’s Tennis Clinics

No matter if your kid is picking up a racket for the very first time or has a developed passion for the game, Summit Tennis Academy has excellent programs to fit them.

Kid’s Classes & Clinics

  • Red Ball

    Clinic that builds coordination skills and teaches the technique of the tennis strokes. Fun age appropriate games are played to learn tennis and coordination skills. Ages 5-7 (If your child is 4 years old please schedule a half hour private lesson to see if they are ready and have the attention span for an hour-long clinic).

    Clinic sessions run in prepaid cycles. The prepaid rate is $22/hour plus tax, multiplied by the number of weeks in session.

  • Orange Ball

    Clinic that focuses on teaching the technique of the different tennis strokes. Coordination skills continue to be developed as well as footwork skills required to learn how to rally the ball back and forth with other players. Games are played that are fun for the kids and build their confidence on the tennis court.

  • Green Ball

    Clinic that continues teaching more advanced technique on the tennis strokes and footwork required to rally and play points. Games are played that are fun for the kids and build their confidence and ability to rally, play points, and understand strategy point building.
    Ages 8-12

Developmental Clinics

  • Junior Development

    Beginner-Advanced clinic that teaches the fundamentals of the different tennis strokes as well as footwork skills required to learn how to rally the ball back and forth with other players. Games are played that are fun for the kids and build their confidence on the tennis court.

  • Competitive Training Group (CTG)/Elite Group

    Advanced-Elite clinic that is designed for the most accomplished players who demonstrate strong competencies in the areas of stroke development, footwork, and point play.strategy. These players generally also have weekly private lessons in addition to group clinics. They also play competitive USTA tournaments to gain matchplay experience. Many from this group play on the varsity squad for their high school teams and have gone on to play college tennis at Division I, II, and III levels.
